For verifiers

You have been asked to confirm an activity.

It takes about a minute, works on a phone, and needs no account. Here is what it means and what happens next.

What this is

Someone applying to professional school, such as medical school, listed you as a person who can confirm one of their activities. You were chosen because you supervised, worked with or saw what they did. A request like this is a normal part of applying.

Why it exists

Ontario medical school applications ask applicants to name a verifier for each activity, and the schools keep the right to contact those verifiers. This request lets the applicant check the details with you now, so everyone agrees on what was written if a school ever calls.

What you are asked to do

The link shows the activity as the applicant described it: the dates, hours and wording. You choose one answer:

  • Yes, this is correct. It matches what you know.
  • Something needs changing. Correct the dates, hours or wording. The applicant reviews your change before anything is agreed.
  • I can't confirm this. You do not feel you can speak to it. That is a fine answer.

You can add a short note to any of them.

What this is not

It is not a reference letter. You are not judging the applicant or their chances, and you are not signing a legal document. You are saying whether a description matches what you know.

What is kept, and your choices

Your link shows only the entries the applicant sent you. We keep your answer, any note or change you send, and the date. Every request has a "do not contact me again" link, and choosing it stops all further emails about that applicant. The privacy page has the full detail.

Is this real?

Verify-Now is a small tool that helps applicants coordinate verification. It is not affiliated with OMSAS, AMCAS or any school, and your answer here does not replace any check a school may do. If you are not sure the request is genuine, ask the applicant who named you before you answer.
